Spoken Tutorial is an Audio-Video based teaching tool to teach open source software in a self-learning, easy way. The project is funded by NMEICT, MHRD, Govt. of India. The training is offered to all students and teachers free of cost and without needing to leave their campus. Software offered are Linux, LaTeX, Scilab, C/C++, PHPMySQL, Java, Netbeans, Python, LibreOffice, Blender, GIMP, Oscad, OpenFOAM and many more. A close connection and relevance is seen for many of the Science and Engineering courses offered in the curriculum, For eg. Linux, C, Java for CSE, IT, ECE, Oscad for Electrical, Openfoam for Fluid Dynamics, Scilab for all disciplines in the II/III semesters as the most useful and potent computational tool etc.. Mapping is currently under way for the software with the lab courses. It will soon be made available.
